Nick –
Really well designed messenger bag. I bought this because its size – 40 x 30 x 10cm – is the maximum size for a “personal item” on airlines like Cathay Pacific and Scoot. This handles quite a lot of gear when fully loaded, including my Surface Pro, tablet, portable monitor, spare battery and various other tech bits and pieces. The padded compartment protects the laptop, tablet and monitor, and there is a lot of organisation inside the bag which means I don’t need to take a separate tech bag. The bag itself is also quite light, which is important for cabin bag weight limits. The strap attaches it to a suitcase. With this and a carry on size wheeled case, I can travel internationally for a week without checking in any bags. It has also become my bag for my daily commute as well. It fits a small umbrella in the side, has enough room for a lunch box in the main compartment as well as a tablet in the padded compartment, and has a hook for my car keys. The shoulder strap is very comfortable and the starp across the back is a handy carry handle. The magnetic clasp seems reasonably strong, and that’s quite handy I don’t always have to zip it. The material seems very durable and the whole bag is waterproof. There is a loose thread on the “Nordace” logo which is a bit of a shame but no functional impact. My only small gripe is that as it is a soft bag, so it doesn’t stand up on its own. Also when it is on the floor, the strap is quite a tripping hazard. But those would be the case with any messenger bag.

Quite possibly the most functional, well designed work bag you will find. Everything about this bag is useful, practical, and durable. Unlike the other reviews, I have found the magnetic closure to be perfect for what you need it to do. The magnetic force snaps the cover into place without having to fiddle around with buckles or clips. The retractable (and detachable) key leash is perfect as you always know exactly where your keys are! I use the water bottle pocket to store my reading glass case, which it turns out is the perfect place for them as the elasticised “snap” band at the top ensures that they won’t accidentally fall out. There is ample internal space for all of life’s necessities. I carry a portable umbrella across the bottom, occasionally my lap top in the padded compartment, folders with documents or a book, heaps of pockets for things like hand sanitiser, thumb drive, and a great pocket to slot your phone into which is easily accessible. The shoulder strap is comfortable, even when lugging around some heavy weight gear. The rear zip pocket fits a standard size iPad perfectly, allowing you to whip it out quickly without having to rifle through your bag looking for it. And the rear carry handle is absolutely ingenious. When not in use, it sits inconspicuously flat against the bag. But for those occasions when you don’t have time to sling the bag over your shoulder as you rush for the bus, the handle turns the bag into an instant “hand-carry” bag. There is absolute attention to detail, right down to the reinforced, tapered shoulder strap hoops which make a simple statement – “unbreakable”. No more twisted shoulder strap clasps that self-rotate 180 degrees, making the whole thing uncomfortable and unsightly. I have a number of different work bags and back packs that I have tried over the years, but with this one I have found the closest thing to perfection so far. The only thing that I have not had any use for so far is the external USB port. Although I carry a portable charger in the pocket designed for it, my commute is not long enough to have a use for it. All in all – a great every day bag that you will use for a very long time. I wouldn’t trade mine for the world.

What he said. I. E. It’s a super well designed bag with lots of org pockets and a virtually non functional magnetic closure.

This bag is functional and has pockets to keep me organized. I just wish the magnetic closure actually worked – the top part just flaps around.
