This is a nice and big backpack that is bigger than some duffle bags, so if you want to travel with only one bag this could be a decent option. Having said that, this backpack is kind of disappointing, for a few reasons: 1. Opening up the main compartment requires going through at least two buckles and two different layers of zippers. There’s no such thing as quickly grabbing something out of this large and cumbersome bag. ( It does have a lot of storage space which is useful for flights where I’m only allowed a personal item, assuming the airline doesn’t call me out for the fact that this bag is technically too big to be a “personal item.”) 2. The outer zip pocket has sideways pockets that allow anything you stash in there to slip out of its smaller inner pocket and collect down at the bottom of the exterior zip pocket. 3. This backpack is too big to use as a backpack on day-to-day excursions when you’re travelling, so I almost found myself wanting to pack a smaller backpack inside this backpack for going to coffee shops or etc. 4. Customer support is not helpful. Within 9 months, and in less than 15 total trips I encountered the following issues: – The charging cable broke off – The elastic strap on the water bottle side pocket snapped – The chest strap and clip broke off – The shoulder pad adjustment clip snapped I reached out to customer support and they told me they would charge $50 to fix any of the issues. and after spending so much on this backpack initially it wasn’t worth it. Save your money for a brand that will take care of you if you encounter any issues with the bag.

Overall I like the bag., but there are a few Design flaws. 1. The straps to compress the bag are blocking the zipper when opening, a replacement from the “lid” part to the “body” part of the bag would be a good idea. 2. the straps are not able to compress very much, a redesign of the straps to shorten the strap attached to the lid, would solve the issue. I am actually considering doing that myself. 3. I miss a little more pocket space available on the front or sides of the bags, to access without opening the zipper (wich requires that you release the straps.) O ther that that, the bag is the perfect size for long weekends, and more. There is a lot of pockets, more than I will ever utilize but they are not in the way of functionality and space.

Got mine as a gift and yet to put it into use. But so far it has everything i need dor those trips abroad where you don’t want to pay extra for hold luggage. Great job. Love it.

I think the backpack looks great and is very functional. Hopefully I can manage all the compartments and everything. I am disappointed with the padded shoulder straps because they cannot be tucked away to make the bag even more streamlined. If the straps could be stored out of sight when not in use this bag would be perfect.

Aside from Nordace Henge’s very reasonable price- which is considerably less than branded competitors with 45L volume, Henge’s thoughtful design, durability, & everyday practicality will delight you- After your initial surprise that a newcomer in the crowded backpack sector can actually lure customers away from established brands. I bought a smaller backpack to test everything about the newcomer, Nordace- from ease of purchase to product quality to delivery (from HK to UK, which is a key target market for Nordace). Nordace passed my test- & by an enormous margin: I received a speedy, personal, positive response from customer service to my request for a 10% discount (I was told I could have gotten a deeper discount on promotion days), I paid easily with Amex, & I received delivery on the fifth working day. All good, but what I found special was the Henge- Despite it’s 45L size, this backpack looks good, it feels good packed (so far) up to 80%, & it seems impervious to my rough use, which will be the same rough use for every bloke who will typically buy this large backpack. Get your Henge for long haul or family trips where you’re the donkey- but don’t want to look like one!

Excellent travel backpack. Heaps of room to fit everything that is needed in a carry on. So much more practical than a suitcase as it leaves your hands free. It is so good that we are getting a second one.

Great size for up to a week trip, I fly spirit a lot so I don’t bring a carry-on, I just bring this bag. It’s an excellent travel bag, and the attached charging cable is something I really appreciate having on hand. Having low battery while traveling is pretty common so having this leash I can just pull out at any time is Great. I will say though that although I understand why the bag opens 180° it makes it a real hassle to get into the main compartment quickly. And while there is the front pocket, the way it’s set up you can’t really safely put anything in there without worrying about it falling out, especially anything more than 2” thick. It’s a slim little pocket that could use some improvements to its usability. So, in order to access your items you have to have a large enough area to be able to unfold this massive bag, then unzip the mesh divider before you’re able to access your stuff. A far cry from just unzipping the top and reaching in like you can do with a traditional backpack. I suppose that’s the trade off. For $160 it’s probably worth it but I’m not sure I would buy again solely because of how cumbersome the bag is to get into. Also as others have said, the compression straps aren’t very useful tbh and just clutter the aesthetic of the bag.

Simply the best travel bag ever!
I got the Sienna backpack for work about 3 years ago now, and loved it so much, I bought another one, so two different colours 😀 But had wanted to have a different backpack specifically for travelling.
I already have a Bergen, but it is huge and really long and quite uncomfortable on my back, and I’m 5ft 4”, so could almost pull me off my feet it’s so heavy when full. It’s been brilliant for what it is, but I wanted something smaller, higher on my back, but that still had a decent capacity.
All in all, I love this backpack; durable, lightweight, sits high on the back, padded straps make it comfortable on your shoulders, brilliant features like opening like a suitcase, a divider for more compartments if you want that lays flat if you don’t want it, huge water bottle holder, secret pocket, and the hip belt acts like a waist stabiliser and keeps your valuables/phone to hand if you need them quickly – highly recommend you buy this backpack for your travels, but would still be great for everyday work use.

Absolutely the best thought out backpack, perfectly organized, a dream come true!

I love this back pack. It has a pocket for every occasion and then some. My only complaint is regarding the stamps to reduce the size of its volume, to my eye they are a bit fussy and a hassle when opening the backpack on when your travelling. I am considering just cutting them off but I do not want to damage such a beautiful backpack. To my mind it was just one improvement to far. The straps are there to reduce the width of a lightly packed backpack. But todate mine is alway full of stuff even a super crush cold weather jacket.
So she is never half empty.
But todate she has been a great investment into hands free travel.

My wife got me this for my 40th birthday… this thing is absolutely amazing. I will never need to carry a rollerbag + backpack/laptop bag again, I can fit everything I need for a 3-5 day trip in this bag and not be bogged down at the airport trying to keep track of multiple bags.

I talk to this beast of a backpack every time I see it. “What a gorgeous beast you are!”, “How was your day?”, “You are a beaut!” Everything about it is well-made and, arguably, a lot of thought was put into every inch of it. I was looking for a backpack to hold my 17-inch laptop. But this thing is huge, so I’m just gonna carry other random stuff in it because it deserves to be fed.

Wow what a backpack.. They have really paid attention to details when they constructed the backpack. And for me that have back problems it’s like a blessing from above cause I always have back pain from other backpacks but not this one. I can fill it up to maximum capacity and it still feels fine. I can really recomend it. It totally worth buying the extra features hip belt and extra reliefs cussing for shoulder.

One of the best backpacks I’ve ever owned. So well made, excellent design, versatile & lightweight. Perfect for FIFO, short & long trips for men & women. Just love it!

Wow. That’s how I describe this backpack. I mean it has everything. I will note that you have to supply your own portable charger for the backpack to be able to charge something but other than that this backpack has everything. As a prospective college student, it is perfect for travel. The quality is impeccable and the attention to detail is fantastic. I find the backpack very customizable and useful in the way that pretty much anything and everything can fit in this backpack. It’s comfortable, spacious, and easy to organize. Would 100% recommend.
