Set code to 0-0-0.

Pull the cable up from the lock.

With a ballpoint pen, press and hold the reset button.

Set your own code.

Release the button.

Secure the cable into the lock. Your code is now set.

While I do not have this Nordace branded lock I have a similar one with the braided flexible cable and it works perfectly to lock your bag and give it extra protection. I used mine to lock up my laptop storage section, and wished I had a second one, especially in the off chance I was required to check my bag. If I don’t have a second at home, I will order one from here. Some people complained in other reviews about not being able to lock the bag (Nordace Sienna in particular) but this is the perfect solution. The cable is long enough and thin enough to fit through the holes in the zipper pulls.
